هي مريم بنت عمران بن ماثان، وأمّها هي حنة بنت فاقوذا، وهي أمّ النبيّ
عيسى عليه السلام، وأطهر نساء العالَمين، أمّا فيما يتعلَّق بتاريخ
ولادتها، ووفاتها على وجه التحديد، فهما غير معروفان، إلّا أنّ قدومها
إلى الدنيا، كان عندما يئست حنة بنت فاقوذا وعجزَت، وحينئذٍ تحرَّكت
عندها عاطفة الأمومة، فدعَت الله أن يهبَ لها ولداً، وعندما حملت، نذرَت ما
في بطنها مُحرَّراً لخدمة بيت الله، وعتيقاً عن الانشغال بأمور الدنيا، ولم
تكن تعلم أنّ ما في بطنها أنثى، وقد ورد نذرُها في قوله تعالى: {إِذْ
قَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ عِمْرَانَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرًا فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي ۖ إِنَّكَ
أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ}،{٦} ولم يعجب عمران ما فعلته زوجته، حيث إنّها لا
تعلم إن كان ما في بطنها ذكراً أم أنثى، ولا يُمكِن تحرير الأنثى لخدمة
بيت الله؛ وذلك لأنّها عورة، ولِما تمرّ به من حيض، ونفاس، وغيره من
الأمور.{٧} وعندها اعتذرت حنة إلى الله عز وجل، وورد ذلك في قوله تعالى:
(فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَا أُنثَىٰ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ
كَالْأُنثَىٰ ۖ وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ}،{٨} وبالفعل ولدت حنة مريم، وقد كان زوجها
عمران مُتوفِّياً آنذاك، فنذرتها لله، وأسمَتها مريم؛ أي العابدة، والخادمة،
فتقبَّلها الله، وأنبتها نباتاً حسناً، ويُقال إنّه عندما ولدتها أمّها لفّتها
في خِرقة، ووضعَتها في المحراب، وتنافَسَ الرجال لكفالتها، وكان عددهم
تسعة عشر رجلاً، فاتّفقوا على أن يذهبوا إلى نهرٍ جارٍ ويُلقوا سهامهم، ومن
يرتفِع سهمه فإنّ كفالتها تكون له، وكان من بينهم زكريّا، وهو زوج خالة
مريم، حيث ارتفع سهمه في حين غرقت سهام بقيّة الرجال، فتكفّلها، وكان
عندما يخرج يُغلِق المحراب عليها، وإذا عاد يجد عندها رزقاً، فيسألها عن
مَصْدره، فتُجِيب بأنّه من عند الله.{٧}
